Regional Institutional Training of Trainers for LPI Level 1 with E-Learning in Laos

Activity Outline

This LPIC training prepares participants for Linux Professionals Institute (LPI) certification as well as to become Linux trainers in their own right. A preliminary 4 week e-learning phase will be followed by a two week face-to-face Training of Trainers.

Objective

A corps of Linux experts is prepared for the LPI Level 1 exam

Training material for LPI Level 1, which can be used by others online, is developed by the participants

Participants are able to develop a strategy for implementing advanced Linux training programs that prepare other Linux systems administrators for the LPI Level 1 exams.

Background

There is still a lack of LPI certified personnel in ASEAN countries. This LPIC training aims to increase the number of LPI trainers and certified personnel in Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
